Land is not only the basis of mankind being able to properly sustain himself, but also land provides a pivotal role in providing affordable homes, employment and food to those inside and outside of our community. We have a vision of creating a self-sustaining community.

Our Urban Community Gardens
Running Time: Seasonal (May-October)
In response to the dangers in chemically polluted produce as well as the high cost in organic fruits and vegetables, a community garden was established in the spring of 2004. Each season Knesset members and volunteers help turn over land, plant seeds and seedlings, and pull weeds in the garden. In harvest time our produce is both used for God's Holy Festivals (Lev. 23) and distributed to members and families around the community. In the future we foresee owning farm land and raising animals. In 2008, The C.O.I. BROKE GROUND ON TWO NEW LOTS ONE SHOWN HERE, ON JEFFERSON AVENUE AND ANOTHER IN LOCKPORT (SEE PHOTOS)
In 2009, many of our family homes started their own gardens whiched turned out to be a great success!

Currently airing in Buffalo, NY the Law and the Testimony
is our video public outreach. The show airs twice a week on local pubic access
channel 20. This 30 min. segment provides sermons and bible lectures of instruction
in the Holy Bible. The show is usually a shorter version of our regular Sabbath
lecture/lesson. In the show we attempt to provide understanding on various
topics by reading and explaining line upon line and precept upon precept.
Current show times are Wednesday @ 5p.m. E.S.T and Saturday morning at 11a.m.
The Law and the Testimony also air on www.youtube.com/sistabenaiah, www.youtube.com/zadokbenisrael, and 'yshuaknesset', which are full, uploaded Sabbath lessons.
Life Empowerment Ministries
The Sisters of The COI have been working with gateway-Longview family resource Center to provide mentorship and lifeskills training to young ladies ages 10-18yrs. old. Young women learn about healthy relationships, becoming entrepreneurs, team building, sewing.hand craft skills, healthy cooking, exercise and much more. the first group completed their six week training May 4, 2009.

Our dinner and documentary night is a community gathering, meals are brought and shared by attendees. Each month we view a feature documentary. These documentaries cover a broad range of topics. Past showings have included �My Father�s Garden, and The Future of Food�. We usually attempt to show a range of documentaries from current events, religion, culture, history and food to name just a few. This is a good opportunity to learn and discuss more about politics, current events and world affairs. Small donations are also helpful in defraying the cost associated with the event.
